Red Velvet Waffles-Keto and Delicious!
You’ll love these red velvet waffles if you’re looking for a fun chaffle recipe. These waffles are keto-friendly, so in reality, they’re called chaffles but look, taste, and feel just like waffles.
I’ve tried several variations when developing this keto waffle recipe because I wanted it to be tasty and true to color—the deep red color of a true red velvet cake. Then, I added spices to give it its own unique flavor.
We’ve turned these keto waffles into a Whoopie Pie and I think you’re going to love them!
Tips to Make the Best Keto Red Velvet Waffles
The spices carry through the cream cheese filling for an incredible keto treat that will satisfy any sweet tooth. Top these with a drizzle of keto chocolate syrup and some keto candied pecans for an even more satisfying treat.
You could also use keto chocolate protein powder instead of the sugar-free cocoa powder used in this keto red velvet waffles recipe to help you meet your protein and fat macros while chowing down on chocolatey goodness.
This recipe will make 2 Belgian waffles or 4-5 mini waffles if you use the Dash Mini Waffle Maker. With 2 large Belgian waffles, you’ll end up with 4 keto whoopie pies which come in at 2.9 net carbs per pie. Not bad for quite a filling and delicious keto dessert.
I use cream cheese in this recipe which is always easier to handle softened or using an immersion blender to get it fully incorporated with all the other ingredients.
Other keto waffle recipes include my favorite savory chaffle made with cheddar cheese and almond flour, these keto chocolate chip chaffles and of course my pizza chaffle!

What to Serve With Chaffles
These red velvet waffles/keto chaffles are great to eat on their own as we turned them into a pie, but you can omit the cream cheese filling altogether and spread some all-natural peanut butter on them or drizzle them with keto honey.
The choice is yours.
They are more like a keto dessert or snack then an actual keto breakfast but you can have them for breakfast too if you want.
