Easy-to-Make Pepperoni Pizza Chaffles-Two Fun Ways to Enjoy Them

Love pizza? Then you are gonna love these pepperoni pizza chaffles! I’ve got two recipes for pepperoni pizza chaffles for you today; try them both, and tell me which one you prefer!

Are you feeling the chaffle craze in the keto community? You can’t possibly be on Instagram or Pinterest and not come across the chaffle, aka the low-carb keto waffles taking over the scene! The base recipe is made from eggs and mozzarella cheese, making it a completely no-carb recipe!

Imagine having waffles on an egg fast or carnivore diet? This is definitely worth all the hype. When I first came across them on YouTube, I got so intrigued that I went down the chaffle rabbit hole for hours, amazed in wonder at all the different chaffle recipes people were coming up with.

I thought to myself, if these really taste good, this could be a serious game changer for me when it comes to keto for a couple of reasons.

Why I Love This Pizza Chaffle Recipe

While on the keto diet, there are tons of normal foods that we miss. Pizza is one of them. While this keto pizza chaffle recipe certainly won’t replace the real thing, it’s still pretty darn satisfying!

Searching the internet, I saw many variations of chaffle sandwiches on YouTube, and I got super excited to try them. The first thing I needed to buy was a chaffle iron and off I went to Amazon to find the perfect one.

Finding the Best Waffle Iron For Pizza Chaffles

Lots of Youtubers used these mini Dash Waffle Irons that make the perfect cute round sandwich-sized waffle, but one thing I did note is that if you wanted to make lots of waffles, this would be time-consuming.

In fact, many Youtubers had two, which defeated the purpose for me of them being super affordable. Did I want that round shape so badly that I preferred to buy two mini waffle makers instead of a traditionally sized one that would give me half sandwiches?

So I checked out a few regular-sized irons as well and settled on this one. It had great reviews and seemed perfect for the price and size.

I’ve used it more than a dozen times so far, and I can tell you, it was absolutely worth it. No regrets!

Pizza Chaffle Crisp

I’m calling this first recipe a pizza chaffle crisp. That’s because the sauce, the cheese, and the pepperoni are all inside the waffle, so it’s more of a pizza-flavored chaffle than a traditional pizza with toppings.

It was absolutely delicious and is a big lunch-kit contender! Pack this one in your lunch box, or take it with you for snacks. It’s a good meal prep option, especially if you’re new to keto and still a big snacker.

  1. Hi
Can you use Coconut flour for these as my son has a nut allergy?
    If so how much?
    Thanks

    1. Iva Ursano says:

Hi Ailsa, yes you can but you would only use about one teaspoon of coconut flour. Let me know how these turn out!
