Recently, a friend shared with me how she makes boiled eggs in the air fryer. Sure, I knew that I could use the stovetop to make hard boiled eggs, as I would when making my classic deviled eggs recipe. But the air fryer? It's so easy that I don't think I'll ever boil eggs in water again.
Place the eggs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are in a single layer and not overlapping.
Preheat your air fryer to 245 F for about 3-5 minutes.
Once preheated, carefully place the basket with the eggs into the air fryer.
Cook the eggs in the air fryer at 245 F for 16 minutes.
After 16 minutes, carefully remove the eggs from the air fryer using tongs.
In a separate bowl, create an ice bath with water and ice cubes.
One by one, transfer them carefully and gently to a bowl of ice water to cool for a few minutes.
Let sit for about five minutes.
Once cooled, peel the eggs and enjoy.
Notes
Once your air fryer hard boiled eggs are ready, you have plenty of options for serving and storing them. If you plan to eat them right away, simply peel and enjoy them warm.If you won't be eating them immediately, it's best to leave them unpeeled. Store the eggs in their shells in an airtight container in the refrigerator, where they’ll stay fresh for up to one week. Be sure to label the container with the date you cooked them so you can keep track of when to enjoy them. When you're ready, peel the shells and dig in!Remember to handle your cooked eggs with clean hands to avoid contamination. If you notice any foul odors or discoloration, it's best to discard the eggs to ensure your safety.
