OMG Yum! Dark chocolate fat bombs anyone?

If you’re a dark chocolate lover you’re gonna love this! I was on Instagram minding my own business looking at all your delicious recipes and these chocolate bars floated across my timeline, pleasantly interrupting my scrolling.

I hit save so fast on these babies. They looked delectable and I instantly decided that I must try it. I do love a good chocolate bar and these looked so easy to make!

New to the keto diet? Start here! This will help you to figure out how to stick to this diet and make it a lifestyle for you.

I loved that there was no need for actual chocolate in the recipe because I am in Jamaica where sugar-free chocolate can be quite hard to come by and from what I see on Amazon, is pretty pricey.

This was the perfect recipe for my Hershey’s Dark Cocoa powder I picked up recently. I just knew it was gonna be amazing and I was so right.

I also used this cocoa powder to make the topping for my Keto Jello Cheesecake Squares.

At 138 calories per piece and 1.6 grams of carbs each, this is a guilt-free snack to always have on hand. You can of course always change up the flavour by adding in different essences and chopped ingredients.

I chose sliced almonds here but the original recipes called for chopped coconuts. Walnut or pecan pieces would probably be amazing here too and I can’t wait to try it with a bit of peppermint oil mixed in!

If you’re lost and not sure how to get started with the keto diet, this meal plan is for you. It’s a fool-proof guide to winning at the high-fat, low-carb lifestyle.

Sliced Almonds Dark Chocolate Fat Bombs

A great keto fat bomb to keep on hand for that chocolate craving

  • 1 stick salted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1/4 cup keto sweetener (I used Pyure)
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 tsp almond essence
  1. Mix all ingredients together reserving some almonds to top with.

  2. Pour into an 8 inch baking dish, add reserved almonds to top and freeze for at least one hour.

  3. Break apart into roughly 10 pieces and keep in the freezer, taking out pieces as needed.
