These salmon patties are so easy to whip up that all you need is about 10 minutes in the kitchen. They’re also great meal prep options and they do very well on the go! This is perfect for your lunch box and your kiddies will love it too. Mine certainly does.

Enjoy these keto salmon patties on their own or in a keto burger. I like to use my cheddar cheese chaffles as a base for a delicious keto salmon burger topped with lettuce, tomatoes and mild cheddar cheese with the below garlic aioli sauce bringing it all together.

There’s no need to get fancy with this recipe, though you certainly can if you’d like.

I used regular old canned salmon which made the recipe very quick and easy to whip up.

Whether you’re using fresh or canned salmon, crush all big pieces into tiny chunks and remove any bones from the fish.

Add all your other ingredients and mix to form a very runny batter. Don’t worry that it’s not thick, it will still come together beautifully to make a light and flaky salmon burger with lots of delicious salmon chunks.

Of course, because the batter is a little runny, you’ll want to fry over a low-medium heat so that one side comes firmly together before attempting to flip. Use a spatula with a very wide base to take hold of the entire patty when flipping to safeguard against it falling apart when you flip it.

See! It holds together well. And they were absolutely delicious. Add cheese to the batter for an even more savory patty and you can use pork rind crumbs instead of almond flour in this recipe for a carnivore version with zero carbs.

Update: I made these in the air fryer

I loved them! It’s the same recipe but I didn’t have to stand over a hot stove to make them. I plopped them in the air fryer and went about my business. The recipe made two batches and wouldn’t you know it, the first batch was finished before the second batch was done. Ate them all in a jiffy with some cucumber ranch dressing on the side. They were fantastic.

Try the air fryer salmon patty version by making small balls, pressed a bit and air frying for 10 minutes on 375.
