Not only is it super easy to make, but there’s no need to get fancy with this recipe, though you certainly can if you’d like.

I used regular old canned salmon, which made the recipe very quick and easy to whip up.

  • 1 can salmon 14.75 oz can
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 stalks green onion chopped
  • ½ small bell pepper sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley or dill finely chopped
  • ¼ cup almond flour

GARLIC AIOLI

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove minced

How to Make Keto Salmon Patties

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together all salmon patties ingredients except oil.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, pour about ¼ cup of salmon mixture into the pan to form patties.
  3. Cook for about 4 minutes on one side before gently flipping and cooking for another 3 minutes
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the aioli ingredients. Pour into a dipping bowl and serve with patties.

Whether you’re using fresh or canned salmon, crush all big pieces into tiny chunks and remove any bones from the fish.

Don’t worry that it’s not thick; it will still come together beautifully to make a light and flaky salmon burger with lots of delicious salmon chunks.

Of course, because the batter is a little runny, you’ll want to fry over low-medium heat so that one side comes firmly together before attempting to flip. Use a spatula with a very wide base to take hold of the entire patty when flipping to safeguard against it falling apart when you flip it.

See! It holds together well. And they were absolutely delicious. Add cheese to the batter for an even more savory patty, and you can use pork rind crumbs instead of almond flour in this recipe for a carnivore version with zero carbs.

Air Fryer Keto Salmon Patties

I experimented and tried making these keto salmon patties in an airfryer, and I loved them! It’s the same recipe, but I didn’t have to stand over a hot stove to make them.

I plopped them in the air fryer and went about my business. The recipe made two batches and wouldn’t you know it, the first batch was finished before the second batch was done. Ate them all in a jiffy with some cucumber ranch dressing on the side. They were fantastic.

Try the air fryer salmon patty version by making small balls, pressing a bit, and air frying for 10 minutes at 375.
