Air Fryer Radishes

I know radishes usually get stuck in the “salad garnish” category, but stay with me for a second. The first time I tossed them into the air fryer, I was honestly just trying to use up a giant bunch before they went sad and limp in the fridge. What came out was so good that I ate half the batch straight from the basket.

This recipe quickly became one of my favorite keto side dishes because it feels comforting without feeling heavy. It’s one of those recipes that doesn’t try too hard, which is kind of my favorite way to cook. Minimal prep, minimal stress, maximum snackability.

This is the kind of recipe I make on those evenings when I want something warm and cozy but do not want to think too much. It’s perfect for a chill weeknight dinner, a lazy Sunday meal prep moment, or when you want a keto side that feels comforting without being fussy. Just toss, cook, and relax.

Ingredients

  • radishes
  • olive oil
  • garlic powder
  • salt
  • dried rosemary
  • onion powder

How to Make Air Fryer Radishes

Start by slicing the radishes in half and adding them to a mixing bowl. Drizzle the olive oil over the top, then sprinkle on the garlic powder, salt, rosemary, and onion powder. Give everything a good toss until the radishes are evenly coated. Don’t stress if it’s not perfect. They’ll still cook up beautifully.

Next, add the radishes to your air fryer basket in a single layer if possible. Set the air fryer to 180C or 350F and let them cook for 15 minutes. About halfway through, pull the basket out and give everything a gentle shake or stir so they cook evenly. Pop them back in and cook for another 15 minutes, until they’re tender with lightly crisped edges.

If you don’t have an air fryer, no worries at all. You can bake them in the oven at the same temperature for about 30 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Trust me, they’ll still be delicious.

Serving Suggestions

I love serving these alongside grilled chicken, steak, or salmon for an easy keto-friendly dinner. They’re also great with eggs for breakfast or brunch, especially if you add a little butter or grated parmesan on top. Sometimes I even snack on them straight from the bowl while standing in the kitchen. No shame here.

Storage Tips

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them back into the air fryer for a few minutes to bring back some of that crispness. You can microwave them, too, but the air fryer really does them justice. These are also great to prep ahead and reheat during busy weekdays.
