Keto Wonder Bread Chaffle Pizza
I love this Keto Wonder Bread Chaffle recipe because it’s the perfect base for anything. So far I’ve used it for grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza crust and simply toasted and slathered with butter with my bulletproof coffee. I know you’re gonna love this Chaffle Pizza as much as I and my munchkin do!

I’ve made pizza chaffles here before but I love this recipe since there’s no cheese in the chaffle which means fewer calories in my pizza. And why do people call it a Wonder Bread chaffle? Well, we sure aren’t using store-bought white bread to make them. However, unlike chaffles, which have cheese in them, Wonder Bread chaffles do not. So they more resembled sandwich bread than other kinds of low-carb waffles.
Is this chaffle eggy? I think so. If you’re not a fan of eggy tasting keto bread or waffle recipes, you may not like this recipe as is. To combat that, you can try adding a pinch of stevia in the batter. However, I love eggs so I didn’t mind this.
It’s called keto wonder bread chaffle because it really does come out fluffy with a wonderfully bready texture that holds up well to fillings. It’s a really easy way to put together a breakfast sandwich or simple keto snack. Try my cheddar cheese chaffle if you prefer a less eggy chaffle flavor.

This recipe calls for mayonnaise but I have made it successfully with sour cream and I bet heavy cream would work as well. Use what you have on hand.
Treat yourself to a good waffle iron to make these and the other waffle or chaffle recipes on this blog. I love this little Black and Decker waffle iron.
Ingredients
I’ve broken the ingredients into two sections. One is for the Wonder Bread Chaffle. The other is for the pizza toppings.
Wonder Bread Chaffle
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or sour cream
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 tablespoon almond flour
- 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
Chaffle Pizza Toppings
- 1 slice American cheese
- 1 jerk pork sausage
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce sugar-free
- parsley to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron.
- Beat egg and mix in all other chaffle ingredients.
- Cook your chaffle for 3 minutes or until there’s no more steam escaping from the sides.
- Remove from iron, top with sugar-free tomato sauce, cheddar cheese and your favorite pizza toppings.
This is what your Wonder Bread Chaffles will look like after they’re made and before you add the pizza toppings to them.

Notes

I absolutely love jerk sausage on my pizzas but of course you can use what you like. This recipe would be great with ham, bacon, ground beef or chicken!
